In this first segment, I had the chance to talk with my mom, my boss, current and former peers, one of whom is my soror in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and a fellow scholarship recipient about a range of issues from womanism to hair to entrepreneurship!
"Camille's Conundrum" focuses on issues that primarily affect Camille, a main character in the "Mo's Mix" series who goes through sexual assault, domestic violence, and promiscuity. These interviews will delve into these pressing issues and offer different perspectives on each one.
The third part of the "Deeper Disposition" Interview series focuses on the hot topics of race, sexuality, and religion, with interviewees giving a unique perspective on each. We talked about things including society becoming LGBT friendly, the "Rose" complex (Get Out reference), the dwindling trust in the church and more! Make sure to check it out.
In this fourth part of the "Deeper Disposition," we picked apart infidelity, masculinity, and poverty. The title "Andre and James, a juxtaposition," relates to the fact that the characters of Andre and James are juxtaposed using these threes themes. They have both had moments where they experienced temptation, questions of their masculinity, and poverty. To understand two dynamic characters both individually and as a collective, check out this video!
In the conclusion of the interview series, I brought all the videos full circle  by discussing the main idea, which is to proliferate Black businesses in an effort to reclaim our time and buying power. I also threw in a few details about symbolism in this interview series. Check it out now!
