Monique, Andre, and Camille all attend Nia University. Monique studies business, Camille studies computer science, and Andre is in Nia's law program. Monique and Camille are candidates for B.S.'s whereas Andre has already attained a BA in English and now pursues a JD in corporate law. Throughout "Millennial Diaries," we will see these character's journeys but mainly Monique, the main protagonist. However, their journeys go beyond Saltyville, the fictional community where Nia University is located. They all come from Willowsville, a big city in Illinois that has parallels to Chicago.
In "Willowsville," we will also learn about Daniel and James, Monique's older brothers as well as her family background. We too meet Andre's large family and Camille's dysfunctional one. "Millennial Diaries" will focus on culture, family, love, college, money, and more! Nia is emphasized in the name because each character will discover her/his purpose.
Monique scrolled through her emails and found it. It was long and heartfelt. He even gave her a play-by-play about the conversation with Bree and added: "Here's to 1 year and many more."
"I must have missed this with all the graduation emails," Monique said. She realized she was just stressed because this was her first long-term relationship since Tomas and that had ended horribly.
"Are we good?" Andre wondered.
"I forgive you." Andre smiled and put his hand on the small of Monique's back. “So can I get my kiss now?” Monique kissed him passionately because she had just missed him. “Yes. We’re celebrating. I finished college.” Andre sighed. “And I finished law school.”
Monique leaned back on his hands. “My man is about to be an attorney at law. You know I’m proud of you, right?” “And I’m proud of you too, madam CEO. We did this together. We finished.” Monique smirked. “Together...I like the sound of that.”
